If a bike has been in an accident or sustained other forms of damage from water, fire or malice, it is likely it has been written-off. A statutory write-off means it is beyond repair and cannot be registered. A repairable write-off means the costs of repairing it are deemed to high by insurance but can be independently repaired, inspected and registered.
