How do I get a WA Title Search? Monday, June 4, 2018

A WA Title Search is an up-to-date electronic report on the status of a Western Australian Land Title (Certificate of Title), direct from Landgate in Perth (the WA Titles Office). Along with other information, a Title Search will provide you the Title’s Volume & Folio numbers (if you don’t already have them), the current proprietor of a property, the survey plan number & type, any current encumbrances on the Title, eg Mortgages, Caveats, Covenants, etc., and their relevant document numbers.

There are a variety of different reasons our clients order Title Searches. Here are some of the most common:

Many clients wish to discover who owns a particular property, while others want to look at the details on their own Title, eg to check the spelling of their names, or way the “manner of holding” has been recorded (Joint Proprietors or Tenants in Common).

Some clients require a Title Search for a planning application, while others require a Title Search because they are putting their property on the market.

Yet others want to check on the existence of some type of encumbrance, eg a Caveat, a Covenant, a Mortgage, etc., while others are Real Estate Agents or private people researching the market.

Whatever your reason for doing a WA Title Search, you will find our ordering process quick and easy, with your search results arriving via email only a few minutes after your order has been processed.

Should you have any queries when placing your order, our experienced Land Data Team is only an email or phone call away.

This ease of searching, coupled with our attentive and friendly customer service, keeps our clients coming back to Information Brokers time and time again.
