Please note, this article is for the classic outlook, where the logo looks like this:
If the logo you have looks like the logo below this text, you are using Outlook new and need to look at these instructions.
You will need the following...
- Email Address
- Email Password
1. Open Microsoft Outlook (Classic)
2. Click file on the top left hand corner of the page, then click the button '+ Add Account' on the top of the page.
3. Enter your Email Address in the only field available then tick Let Me Set Up My Account Manually under Account Options and click Connect
4. Click IMAP
5. Now make sure your settings are the same as shown below. After filling them out click Connect
Incoming Mail
Server: mail.ib.com.au
Port: 993
Encryption Method: SSL/TLS
Do not tick 'require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)
Outgoing Mail
Server: mail.ib.com.au
port: 465
Encryption Method: SSL/TLS
Do not tick 'require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)
6. Enter your Email Password and click Connect
7. Account Setup Complete, click OK
