NSW Certificate Authentication Code (CAC) Inquiry (WAL Only)

A CAC is a randomly generated document identifier used to deter and prevent fraud. A CAC Inquiry verifies the Certificate of Title's authenticity. From 11th October 2021, this search is no longer valid for a Certificate of Title. It is only relevant if searching for a Water Access License (WAL).

If you are contacted by anyone purporting to be Information Brokers, a reseller of CITEC Confirm, or NSW Land Registry Services staff requesting your CAC, BE SUSPICIOUS.

If you receive a suspicious telephone call or email in this regard do not respond. If you are uncertain or have provided any details regarding your CAC number, contact Information Brokers, a reseller of CITEC Confirm.

NSW Land Registry Services OR Information Brokers, a reseller of CITEC Confirm, will never contact you and ask for your CAC number.
